What you’ll need
INGREDIENTS
- 6 SunPork Fresh Foods Bacon Rasher
- 1 brown onion, diced
- 50g butter
- Parmesan cheese, grated and to taste
- 4 thick sliced bread
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. dried thyme
- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 30ml espresso
- ½ cup mozzarella
How to make it
- To make the bacon jam filling use a fry-pan over med-high heat, cook bacon and onion for 5 mins.
- While it’s frying, butter the outside of your bread and sprinkle with parmesan cheese then set aside.
- Add the remaining ingredients except the mozzarella cheese into the pan with the bacon and cook until sauce becomes thick.
- Transfer the bacon jam filling to the bread. Add mozzarella cheese follow by another helping of the bacon jam filling. Top off with bread.
- Place into your sandwich press and toast for 5 mins or until golden brown.
- Serve and enjoy!
