What you’ll need

INGREDIENTS

  • 500g SunPork Fresh Foods Pork Mince
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 fennel bulb, chopped & fronds retained
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 tsp. cumin

How to make it

  1. Pre-heat fan forced oven to 180⁰C.
  2. In a large, oiled fry-pan, fry onion and fennel until softened, then add garlic and apple and cook until browned.
  3. Remove from the heat and add to a bowl with mince, breadcrumbs, egg, sage and cumin, then mix to combine.
  4. Place mince mixture into a greased baking dish, pressing flat, then place into the oven for 20 mins.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for at least 10 mins.
  6. Slice and garnish with fennel fronds.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
