For us, August is all about BaconFest, and our team is busily preparing for this year’s event after a two-year hiatus. Held in the hometown of our very own Swickers Bacon Factory, this year is set to be bigger and better than ever.

At our Swig & Swine Deck, champion pitmaster Dan Barrett from Big Smoke BBQ will be serving up low-n-slow Aussie pork ribs and MKR’s Dan & Steph’s will be cooking their rolled Porchetta Burgers. Keep an eye out for our full menu in our countdown to BaconFest.
Who doesn’t want to ‘Bring home the Bacon’? With three specially crafted tasty bacon flavours available to purchase, our Bringing Home the Bacon stand is a definite stop on your wanderings through the food market. It’s also stocked to the brim with merchandise for your BaconFest memento.
In its second year, the SunPork Smoke Off will see 35 of the nation’s top BBQ teams descend on Kingaroy to fight it out for the title of SunPork Smoke-Off Grand Champion 2022. With a prize pool of over $18,000 up for grabs, this will be a spectacular display of low and slow barbecue at its best.
Held across the weekend, the Steak Cook-Off Association kicks things off on Saturday 20th August and the Australasian Barbecue Alliance rounds the competition out on Sunday 21st August.
