Simple Barbecue Pork Ribs

What you’ll need
INGREDIENTS
- 1 SunPork Fresh Foods Meaty Loin Rib Rack
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. onion powder
- 1 Tbsp. sweet smoked paprika
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cracked black pepper
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. American mustard
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
How to make it
- Prepare ribs by removing the membrane from the bone side of the rack.
- In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper, then rub over both sides of the rack of ribs, cover and refrigerate for 1 hr.
- Pre-heat fan forced oven to 150⁰C.
- Place ribs onto a lined baking tray uncovered, bone side down and bake for 1 hr 30 mins.
- In a saucepan over med-high heat, combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, honey, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer to thicken.
- Brush ribs with sauce, cover with foil and return to the oven for 30 mins.
- Baste ribs again, the return to the oven uncovered for 15 mins.
- Remove from the oven and baste a final time, then allow to rest for 10-15 mins before cutting into single ribs.
- Serve and enjoy!
