Korean Pork Belly Skewers
These sweet and spicy Korean style gochujang pork belly skewers smell irresistible when they're sizzling on the grill.

What you’ll need
INGREDIENTS
- 1kg SunPork Fresh Foods Pork Belly, rind off, cubed
- 1 Tbsp. Chinese five spice
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp. gochujang
- 1 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. cornflour
- ¼ cup water
- 5 spring onions, cut into 5 cm pieces + additional chopped to garnish
- 1 Tbsp. fresh coriander leaves
- 12 skewers, soaked in water
How to make it
- Place pork belly into a bowl, add Chinese five spice and salt and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate to marinate for at least 1 hr.
- In a bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, gochujang, rice wine vinegar, cornflour and water until smooth and set aside.
- Skewer 4 pieces of pork belly onto each skewer with a piece of spring onion between each piece, then set aside.
- Grill skewers over low heat for approx. 15 mins, turning regularly.
- Increase temp. to med-high, then brush with Korean sauce on all sides and grill for an additional 10-15 mins.
- Garnish with spring onions and coriander.
- Serve and enjoy.
