Bacon-Wrapped Toast for Dippy Eggs
There’s nothing better than a flashback to the joys of childhood. And what makes these golden memories even better? Bacon. These bacon-wrapped soldiers are perfect for dipping in your soft-boiled eggs in the morning.

What you’ll need
INGREDIENTS
- 300g SunPork Fresh Foods Bacon
- 4 slices bread, cut into fingers
- 4 eggs
How to make it
- Pre-heat fan forced oven to 180⁰C.
- Cut bacon into strips and wrap around the bread slices, secure with a toothpick as needed. Place on a lined baking tray and cook in the oven for approx. 10 mins or until golden.
- While fingers are baking, boil eggs for 3-4 mins for a soft yolk.
- Serve with bacon dippy toast and enjoy!
TIPS
For the perfect boiled egg, just the way you like it:
- 3 minutes for really soft-boiled yolk and set white.
- 4 minutes for slightly set yolk and set white.
- 5 minutes for a medium cooked firmer yolk and white.
- 6 minutes for hard-boiled with slightly soft yolk.
- 8 minutes for firmly hard boiled
- Place straight into ice bath to stop the cooking process
