Sticky Honey Pepper Pork

What you’ll need
INGREDIENTS
- 500g SunPork Fresh Foods Sirloin Steaks, diced
- 2 Tbsp. peanut oil
- 1 brown onion, large slices
- 1 carrot, peeled, cut diagonally
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 3 Tbsp. light soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. kecap manis
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. oyster sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Chinese Shaoxing wine
- 2 tsp. cracked pepper
- 3 cups jasmine rice, steamed to serve
- 1 spring onion, sliced, to serve
- 1 tsp. sesame seeds, to serve
How to make it
- Add oil to a wok or fry-pan over high heat and sauté onion and carrot until softened.
- Add pork and garlic and cook until golden, then remove from the pan.
- Reduce heat to medium, then add soy sauce, kecap manis, honey, brown sugar, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine and cracked pepper. Simmer for 5 mins or until sticky.
- Return pork and vegetables to the pan and toss to coat.
- Serve with rice and garnish with shallots and sesame seeds.
