Pork in Creamy Irish Whiskey Sauce
It’s delicious, easy, and contains whiskey! Pork steaks in a creamy Irish whiskey and mushroom sauce, is simple to make and take less than 30 minutes to prepare.

What you’ll need
INGREDIENTS
- 4 SunPork Loin Steak
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 5 Tbsp. butter
- 2 cups mushroom, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. plain flour
- ⅓ cup of whiskey
- ⅔ cup beef stock
- ½ cup thickened cream
- 1 tsp. fresh thyme leaves, to serve
How to make it
- Season pork steaks with salt and pepper. Cook in pan over med – high heat for 6 mins on one side then 2 mins. Add 3 Tbsp. butter into pan with garlic and baste while cooking. Remove from pan and rest for 2 mins.
- In the same pan add 1 Tbsp. butter and mushrooms and cook over med heat for 5 mins. Set aside for later.
- Using the same pan add last Tbsp. butter until it melts, then add flour. Cook for 1 min over med heat. Add whiskey while over heat, then add stock and cream and simmer for 2 mins.
- Return pork steaks and mushrooms back to the pan. Spoon sauce over the top of the pork and mushrooms.
- Serve and enjoy!
Tip: Lactose-free? Try Almond milk or coconut milk as an alternative to the cream!
