What you’ll need
INGREDIENTS
- 250g leftover SunPork Fresh Foods Ham
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 150g mozzarella, grated
- 150g cheddar cheese, grated
- Black pepper, to season
- 3 Tbsp. chives, finely chopped, plus extra for garnish
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
- Cranberry sauce, to serve
How to make it
- Pre-heat fan forced oven to 180°C and line a baking tray.
- Lay the two sheets of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface, overlapping the edges slightly to create a rectangle approximately 25x45cm, with the long edge closest to you.
- Spread the Dijon mustard evenly over the pastry, leaving a 2cm gap along the long edge furthest from you. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the mustard. Season with black pepper, then layer the ham on top. Sprinkle the finely chopped chives over the ham.
- Starting from the long edge closest to you, roll the pastry tightly. Before completing the roll, brush the 2cm gap with the beaten egg to seal the roll.
- Place the roll on the prepared baking tray, seam side down. Using a sharp knife, make cuts in the roll at 2cm intervals, being careful not to cut all the way through—leave about 5mm of pastry intact.
- Gently pull the ends of the roll together to form a circular shape (wreath). Brush the top of the pastry with the remaining beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Place the wreath in the oven and bake for 20-25 mins, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving plate. Place a small bowl of cranberry sauce in the centre of the wreath for dipping. Garnish with extra chives.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
