What you’ll need

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 rashers SunPork Fresh Foods Bacon
  • 2 Tbsp. barbecue rub
  • 500g brussels sprouts, blanched, halved
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 Tbsp. sriracha sauce
  • 8 bamboo skewers, soaked in water

How to make it

  1. Pre-heat fan forced oven to 180⁰C or BBQ to med-high.
  2. Sprinkle bacon rashers on both sides with barbecue rub.
  3. Thread one end of a bacon rasher onto a skewer, followed a brussels sprout. Snake bacon around each sprout, alternating bacon and sprout until the skewer is full. Repeat with remaining skewers and place onto a lined oven tray.
  4. In a small bowl, combine honey and sriracha and set aside.
  5. Drizzle each skewer with oil and transfer to the oven for 15-20 mins or to the BBQ for 10 mins, rotating regularly until the bacon starts to crisp.
  6. Remove skewers from the oven or BBQ, then drizzle generously with honey sriracha.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
