Bier Gravy Pork Knuckle Bun
For a saucy and delicious meal, or snack, the pork knuckle and bier gravy is an absolute winner served in a fresh bun.

What you’ll need


  • 1 SunPork German Style Pork Knuckle
  • 1 brown onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 cup beer (bier)
  • ½ cup chicken stock
  • 2 Tbsp. cornflour
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley leaves, garnish

How to make it

  1. Cook German Style Pork Knuckle according to packet instructions. (Reserve cooking juices).
  2. Remove from oven and allow to cool enough to pull meat from knuckle and set aside.
  3. In fry-pan, over med-high heat, cook onion and garlic for 2 mins. Add tomato paste and stir until combined.
  4. Add reserved cooking juices from the knuckle and stir.
  5. Add bier and chicken stock, bring to the boil. Combine 2 Tbsp. cornflour with 3 Tbsp. warm water and add to gravy.
  6. Simmer until thickened and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Take knuckle meat and fill hotdog puns, pour over bier gravy and garnish with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
