Bacon Butter

What you’ll need
INGREDIENTS
- 8 SunPork Fresh Foods Bacon Rashers
- 150g Butter unsalted, softened to room temperature
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper
How to make it
- Cook bacon in frypan over med. heat until crispy. Remove from heat and drain on paper towel, reserving 1 Tbsp. bacon fat.
- In a food processor, blitz bacon to form bacon crumb.
- Place bacon crumb, butter, bacon fat, onion powder and pepper in bowl and mix well, add salt to taste.
- Spoon butter into bowl, piping bar or roll into log with plastic wrap to set.
- Refrigerate until ready to use
VARIATIONS
- Like it spicy, add jalepenos or your favourite chili
- Add some finely diced roasted garlic
- Make it cheesy with finely grated fresh parmesan cheese.
- Substitute the chives for another herb like rosemary, parsley or thyme leaves.

- Freeze in ice cube tray or small zip lock bag
