What you’ll need
INGREDIENTS
4 rashers SunPork Fresh Foods Bacon
1 small banana, sliced
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Flour, as required
1 fresh pizza dough, room temp.
3 Tbsp. Nutella
½ cup red grapes, halved
¼ cup raspberries
¼ cup blueberries
2 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 Tbsp. chopped walnuts
How to make it
Pre-heat fan forced oven to 300°C or the hottest your oven will go.
In a fry-pan over med. heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the pan and chop into small pieces.
In a separate fry-pan, add the banana slices and sprinkle with brown sugar. Cook over med. heat for 2-3 mins until the bananas are golden and the sugar has melted into a syrupy caramel coating. Remove from the heat.
Dust your bench with flour and work the dough as per pack instructions, shape into a circle that will fit your baking tray.
Once you’ve worked and shaped the dough, spread with an even layer of Nutella, leaving a small border around the edges.
Scatter the crispy bacon pieces over the Nutella, followed by the caramelized banana slices, grapes, raspberries, and blueberries.
Place the pizza in the oven for 3-5 mins or until the dough is cooked and the Nutella is slightly melted. Keep an eye on it, it will cook quickly!
Finish with a drizzle of maple syrup, extra Nutella and a sprinkle of chopped walnuts.
Serve and enjoy!
TIP: You can use a premade pizza base if you want! We find the fresh dough (even bought from the supermarket) gives it a nice bubbly texture.
